Carolyn Hill

Carolyn McCorkle Hill passed away February 7, 2011 after a lengthy illness. She was born and raised in Lubbock where she graduated from Lubbock High School in 1953. She also attended Abilene Christian University and Texas Tech University. She was involved in church outreach and was a life-long member of Broadway Church of Christ. Her parents were James Buryl and Lucille McCorkle. Carolyn was a devoted, beloved mother and grandmother. She is survived by her sister, Sara Kay McCorkle and three children: James Lennon Hill, married to Caryn Hill, John Chris Hill, married to Sheri Hill, and Holly Ann Clark, married to Jonathan Clark. She has nine grandchildren: Brittany Holmes, married to Jonathan Holmes, Cayle Hill, engaged to Blake Myers, Kyle Hill, Alex Hill, Kristen Hill, Nathan Hill, Brendan Clark, Kade Clark, and Kyndall Clark.

A graveside service will take place on Thurs. February 10, 2011, at 1:00 PM in Resthaven Memorial Park, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Broadway Church of Christ. Visitation will be held on Wed. February 9, 2011, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home.
