Charles John Volz, age 59, of Grand Prairie, Texas passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2023. Charles was born in Dallas, Texas to Arthur and Sherry Volz.. He served in the United States Army during operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm. During this time, he received the Army Service Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal and the Expert Marksmanship Badge before being honorably discharged from active duty.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Melodie Volz and Stephanie Santi; mother, Sherry Volz; sister, Donna Smyth; and grandchildren, Brianna and Gunner.
Charles was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Volz.
A funeral mass for Charles will be held Friday, November 3, 2023 at 10:00 AM at St John Neumann Catholic Church, 5802 22nd St, Lubbock, TX. Following the funeral mass will be a graveside committal service at 11:00 AM at Resthaven Memorial Cemetery, 5740 West 19th St, Lubbock, TX.
