Cleeta Mae Carley, 91, of Lubbock Texas, returned to the Lord on her day, February 25th, 2024. She was born in Ralls Texas on December 26th, 1932. After Cleeta graduated from Spur High School she married Dexter Carley on July 31st, 1950. Cleeta worked as a homemaker for her 3 children and as an assistant kindergarten teacher for New Deal ISD. She was a member of Northside and Parkway Church of Christ and had a passion for working her large vegetable garden, painting, arts/crafts, cooking, and at a young age was on a bowling league. Family was very important to her and her greatest joys in life were raising her children, watching her grandchildren do activities, and playing with her great grandchildren. She loved traveling and attending bluegrass festivals with her husband of 66 years. She was survived by Son-Mike(Toni) Carley of Lubbock Texas. Two daughters Janette (Wyndell) Caviness of Frisco Texas, Jami (John) McKinley of Portales New Mexico. 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. Preceded in death by her husband Dexter Carley, Her parents R.B. and Dona Jones, 4 brothers and 4 sisters.
