I only met you a couple of times but you made a lasting impact on my mother forever. Rest in peace

Harold and I came into gospel singing rather late, but it has been the best part of our life.  There was nothing better than when we met the Campbell's.  We've never had more fun nor enjoyed singing any more than with them.  Dale played bass and sang with us so many times and in so many places!  And, Jodean, when you joined the group it was even better.  Dale was someone who stayed in your heart and memory forever.  He will be greatly missed.

I think my favorite memory of Dale is watching him kick a football when he was, I think, a Senior, or maybe a Junior in High School, and saying, "man, I should have tried out for kicker on the football team." He definitely could kick a football high and long! Also, another memory, is being with him to watch Buster Keaton place for the Campbell Quarter and waiting for Buster's foot to kick backward as he placed. Yes, there are lots of "singing" memories.  

This is a very hard thing for me to do.  Dale was such a good friend to Jess and I and we so enjoyed having him to sing with us on many occasions.  Know Jess, Dale and Linda Spikes are having one more reunion along with all the other singers there with them.  What a singing they must be having !!!!  I was so upset upon hearing the news of his home going that I was upset for hours.  Talked to Sharon shortly after and could hardly talk.  Know all the family and friends are already missing him and will for a long time.  My prayers are with you all.   From :  Linda Harper

Our thoughts and prayers are with Jodean and family.  I will always hold a special place in my heart for the great memories of speaking with Dale.  He had a great sense of humor and was always fun to talk with over the phone.  He will be greatly missed but never forgotten.  May GOD just surround the family with peace and comfort.

Thank the Lord we have the promise of seeing our loved ones again one day which I hope comforts your you and the family.  Just trust in God and his promises he will get you through this time. Dale had a kind heart and a wonderful sense of humor.  Loved to sing with Uncle Woodson, Aunt Noma and my dad in the quartet.  He will be greatly missed.  

Dale was always the sweetest guy!!  Sending all his family & friends lots of prayers & hugs during this difficult time.

I can’t remember which wing it was at the Lewisville site that was so uneven but Dale left his tool cart in the hallway.  It rolled and busted the window.  One of many laughs and incredibly fun moments with this great man.  You will be missed until we see you again ❤️❤️❤️

When I think of Dale I remember his infectious smile, his laugh, and his sense of humor.  He not only was smart, but was smart enough to know that there was more to life and it was more important to make people laugh and be a friend to anyone.  He was one of those friends that you may not see or talk to for a long time but when you did it was as if you just talked yesterday.  Always interested in what was going on in your life and always ready to give a big hug. I will miss him and want to give my condolences to the family.  He was a "good one".


We are so sorry for your loss.  We loved Dale and his witty sense of humor.  Prayers for comfort and peace.
