He was born on February 12, 1952 to Antonia Jimenez in Houston,TX and raised by his mother and father Joe C. Basaldua. Daniel faithfully served his country in the United States Marine Corp.
Daniel is survived by his mother, Antonia J. Basaldua; his siblings: Rudy Basaldua, Florence Basaldua-Tristan and husband Steve, Richard Basaldua, Mary Pedraza and husband Ramiro; daughter, Francis Gonzalez; and many other family members.
