Donald Wayne Baker Sr. was born August 23, 1936, in Morton, Texas and enlisted in the army and was sent to the Korean War. He married Emma Jean Baker while in Washington D.C. and they were married 68 years until Jean's passing in 2024. They had three children, and always four-legged critters that were treated as family.
Dad believed in family, although we were disowned more than once. Family reunions were held at the pool hall. He was good at it. He loved to fish and taught us that it didn't always mean catching anything. He was an avid gun collector, which was scary at times.
Dad retired from LP&L and he and mom would give several tips to Branson just to see the shows.
Donald is preceded in death by his wife, Jean, and son, Randall Kirk Baker. He is survived by his son, Donald W. Baker Jr. wife Heather and daughter Renee Petty and husband Kevin. Grandkids: Jeremy, Jennifer, Christopher, Deborah Kay, and Ashley Ann.
His sense of humor will be missed and so will he.
