Donald M. Edge

Donald "Donnie" Maurice Edge, age 61, died Wednesday, January 20, 2016. He was born October 07, 1954 in Lubbock, Texas; where he was raised by his loving parents, Milburn and Loretta Edge. He spent his youth playing football and baseball; he raised pigs, played the guitar and sang, eventually developing his own band so he could perform the songs he wrote. He was a proud member of The Boys Club and Ag. He graduated from Monterey High School in 1973. He married the love of his life, Sandra, on July 12, 1974, in Clovis, New Mexico. Together, they would welcome three beautiful children into this world; Michelle, Amanda and Marcus. He was the top equipment salesman at Big State Tire, having earned the prestigious ‘Million Dollar Salesman,’ award; when he wasn’t working; He loved to go fishing, play softball, and to watch his Dallas Cowboys; he dedicated all of his time to his children and grandchildren, he was their biggest fan.

He is preceded in death by his birth mother, Vivian Edge and son in law, Avery Atkins.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Sandra Edge; children, Michelle Atkins, Amanda Fields and her husband Joshua, Marcus Edge and his wife Jillian; grandchildren, Brittany Gibson, Adryane Atkins, Sydney Edge, Zane Edge, Trooper Edge; his parents, Milburn and Loretta Edge; his best friend, Roger Ward and his wife Lucinda; and many close friends he considered family .
