Born in Oshkosh Wisconsin, he spent most of his life in Dallas and later in Lubbock.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Elaine (Priebe) Jungen and their children; daughters Julie Lanicek and husband, Richard, and Laura Terry, and husband, Roger, their children, Jenna and Marcus; her sons Michael Jungen and David Jungen.
