

Jack Brown of Lubbock , Texas passed away on Friday, February 26th, 2021 and his family will celebrate his life of 90 years at 11:00AM on Monday, March 1st, 2021 at Calvary Baptist Church in Lubbock.There will be a time of fellowship and remembrance hosted by the Brown family from 4:00 to 6:00PM Sunday, February, 28th, 2021 at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. He married Frances Roberts on May, 29th, 1951 in Meadow, Texas. He graduated from Texas Tech in 1952 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. In 1955, he founded Brown-McKee, Inc.Jack believed in giving back to his community, and he displayed that commitment in many ways. He served the community on the Lubbock City Council from 1980-1986. He invested in the future of Lubbock through his time given to the City of Lubbock Airport Board, Lubbock County Appraisal District Board, Texas Board of Health, as well as being instrumental in the development of Lake Alan Henry. Jack was a devoted member of Calvary Baptist Church for 70 years. He served many roles in the church during those years, and that commitment was recognized by being designated as Deacon Emeritus.Jack was a dedicated fan of Texas Tech athletics, holding season tickets to athletic events for over 60 years. He was an avid pilot, logging many hours in his Cessna Skymaster. He loved fishing and hunting, and enjoyed the many fishing trips he took with close friends to Novia, Mexico.He is survived by his wife Frances Brown; son, Steve Brown and Cheryl, daughter Jacque Brazell and Ricky, and daughter Sandy Lynch and Jay, all of Lubbock, TX. Grandchildren of “Papa Jack”, Carrie Larsh and Chad of Tyler, Casey Brown and Larry of Lubbock, Preston Lynch of San Angelo, and Hallie Brown of Austin; nine great grandchildren; and a sister, Tommye Arbuckle and Scott of Dallas. He was preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, Christie Gutierrez; and brothers, Dan and Ronny Brown.The family would like to thank Brandon Arnett and the staff at the Isle of Raider Ranch and the staff at Kindred Hospice for their care.
