Ellen Duffy Watson, a resident of Wilshire Estates, died peacefully on June 24, 2012, at the age of 75. She was born in Lafayette, Indiana on December 21, 1936 to Francis Duffy Watson and Frances Wright Watson. Ellen dedicated her life to serving others, as a member of the Sisters of Providence for over 30 years as a teacher and educator. She served as Director of Pastoral Services for St. Anthony’s Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She retired from that position in 2001. Ellen moved to Lubbock, Texas in May of 2010. She was preceded in death by her parents, two siblings, Edward J Watson and Mary Ann Elliott. She is survived by four siblings, Francis Duffy Watson of Roseville, California, Nancy Plaster of Yarmouth Port, Massachusetts, Bill Watson of Arlington Heights, Illinois and Martha Connell of Fernandina Beach, Florida. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews, all of whom, she loved dearly. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Thursday June 28, 2012 at 10:30 AM in St Elizabeth Catholic Church, Lubbock, TX. Services are under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home Lubbock, TX.
