Elsie Mae Rogers

Mrs. Elsie Mae Rogers went to be with our Lord peacefully at her home in Lubbock, Texas on Thursday, September 28th at the age of 89. Mrs. Rogers, a former seventy year resident of Grant County, New Mexico, was preceded in death by her husband, Joel Lee Rogers of Bayar, New Mexico.

Elsie is survived by her daughter, Eileen Rogers Mullins and husband, Neal Mullins of Lakewood, Colorado; son Marshall Rogers and wife, Lisa, of Anton, Texas; granddaughter Jennifer Rogers Easterling and husband Brice; and great-granddaughters, Emilie and Sadie Easterling of Bryan, Texas. Elsie is also survived by her brother, Clayton Smith and wife, Joyce of Pasadena, California.

She will be laid to rest at Fort Bayard National Cemetery in Fort Bayard, New Mexico on Saturday, October 14, 2017. A celebration of Elsie’s life will be held on Saturday, October 14 at 11:00 a.m. at the Silver City Church of Christ in Silver City, New Mexico. A lunch reception will follow.
