Born in Shallowater, Texas. Raised in Lubbock, Tx. Graduated Lubbock High School in 1943. Worked for Time DC Motorfreight for 30 years. Retired in 1981. Loved her dogs and cats. Loved to paint, crochet, ceramics, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter; Cecelia Briggs, grandchildren; Michael and Gregory Briggs, and Sarah Kimberly Ellis, and great grandchildren, Tucker and Jessica Ellis. In addition to her parents she is pre deceased by her daughter Sarah Jean Gray and a sister Argie Payne.
A memorial service will be celebrated on Thursday, March 14, 2019, at The Abbey Chapel at Resthaven Funeral Home, 5740 W 19th Street, Lubbock, TX 79407, at 2:00 p.m.
Special appreciation to the nurses, aides, and physical therapists of Garrison Geriatric Facility. She loved the attention and care that you gave her.
