On October 25, 1952, Floyd married Alma Marcella Carter, and together they raised seven children.
He was a cherished figure known for his love of cream gravy, Double bubble bubble gum, and a knack for tinkering with things that didn't need it. Floyd's sweet tooth and his joy in gardening, watching old westerns, and watching Jimmy Swaggart programs marked his days. He was a familiar face at the Red Zone for Sunday lunch with his family, relishing the time spent with loved ones. His early years were spent fishing and enjoying time at the lake.
Professionally, Floyd began as a farmer, later working for various roofing companies. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish Carr Roofing Co, which he successfully ran with the help of his sons.
Floyd leaves behind a loving family: his children, James and wife Brenda, Jimmy and wife Pam, Linda, Jesse and wife Raelynn, Carolyn and husband Bobby, Johnny and wife Gracie, and Kenneth and wife Sondra; along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren who will miss him dearly.
