Frederico “Freddie” Vasquez, 54 of Lubbock passed away Saturday April 12, 2014. A visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home this evening from 5:30 until 7:30 pm. A Rosary will begin at 7:30 pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday April 16, 2014 at St. Josephs Catholic Church at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park.
Freddie was born on August 25, 1959 in Lubbock, Texas to the late Enes and Mary Vasquez.
He enjoyed working with his hands doing construction or landscaping. He was a loving person who always had a sense of humor. He enjoyed people and enjoyed being around other people, because of his personality he never met a stranger and had many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Lupio Vasquez, and sister Mary Perez.
He is survived by his two daughters Sonia Garcia and Vanessa Vasquez Honesto; one son Freddie Vasquez, Jr.; grandchildren, Destiny Rios, Idalis Garcia, Seana Ramirez, Joseph Rios, Jason Honesto, and Christopher Ramirez; brothers Arthur, Johnny, Enes Jr., and Natividad Vasquez; sisters, Lala Alonzo, Julia Lopez, Estefana Campos, Janie Vasquez Duran, Eva Ruiz, Sophie Rodriguez, and Linda Diaz; and a host of other relatives and many friends.
