Gary "Gus" Lane

Gary Lynn “Gus” Lane was born December 28, 1955, to Doyle and Betty Cates Lane in Lubbock, Texas.  Gary graduated from Coronado High School in 1974 and loved his Mustangs.  In 1978 he received is Bachelors in Accounting from Texas Tech University and was a faithful Red Raider fan.   Gary married Karen Teinert on June 6, 1981 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Lubbock, Texas.  Gary was a CPA at Mason, Warner and Company for 36 plus years and went on to get his financial services certification. Gary loved spending time with his family, grandchildren and friends.

Gary is survived by his wife, Karen Lane, children Marnee Lane and Derek (Shaina) Lane; grandchildren Sutton Lane and Myles Lane; sister Cathy Lane Galey; Uncle Leland Lane of Arkansas; brother-in-law Randy (Elizabeth) Teinert and niece and nephew and families, and his cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents Doyle and Betty Lane; grandparents; and Father-in-law Herman Teinert; and Mother-in-law, Joy Teinert.

The family deeply appreciates, Gary’s Hospice Nurse, Josh Teaff; and would like to thank all of the Interim Hospice Team as well as the Palliative Medicine Team at Covenant Medical Center.
