Gary Ward

The family of Gary Michael Ward will celebrate his life of 55 years at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 29, 2020, at LakeRidge United Methodist Church. Gary passed away on October 24, 2020. In support of the health of his family, face coverings are mandatory while attending the service.  The service will be live-streamed on this page. You are encouraged to sign the virtual guestbook and share memories and expressions of sympathy by selecting the icon.Gary Ward was born on July 12, 1965, to Bobby and Nelwyn (Bohannon) Ward in Childress Texas. He grew up farming with the family and attended school all his life in Memphis, Texas.  He was a graduate of the Mighty Fighting Cyclones Class of 1984. He met the love of his life DeAnna Salley and they were married in Memphis on August 20, 1988. They moved to Lubbock Texas where Gary became a Workers Comp. Adjuster. He loved the Texas Tech Red Raiders and was a proud member of the Smokin’ Raiders Tailgaters. He had a great love for the Lord and his church LakeRidge UMC. He never met a stranger and loved to serve others.Survivors include his wife, DeAnna Ward; daughters, Katelyn Graham and husband Cody of Lubbock and Grace Ward of the home; grandchildren, Emery, Bentley and Hazel Graham; mother, Nelwyn Ward; brother, Mark Ward and wife Leigh Ann; sister, Carol Ann Gibbs; sister-in-law, Darla Miles and husband Douglas; brother-in-law, Greg Salley and wife Nancy; father and mother-in-law, Henry and Mary Salley; nieces, Haleigh Hudson, Saige Gibbs, Meredith Salley, and Marisa Salley and nephews, Jaxon Gibbs, Austin Miles and Clayton Salley.He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Ward.
