

Georgia Mae "Polly" Campbell was known as many things to many people. She was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew her best, Georgia will be remembered as a very exceptional person.
She was the daughter of Richard and Ellen Click.
A typical teenager, Georgia had a fairly happy high school experience, making that critical transition from adolescence to adulthood. She enjoyed some classes more than others, having favorite subjects and teachers.
Empathic and loyal, Georgia was committed to making her new family happy.
Georgia worked hard to be a good mother to her children and she did her best to fulfill their needs. Georgia was blessed with four children, Tommy, Rita, Sharilyn, and Greg. Another blessing for Georgia was the gift of Eleven grandchildren, Marty, Quinn, Casey, Justin, Chris, Amy, Daniel Marissa, Lisa, Tabitha, and Jackson.
Fortunately, Georgia enjoyed what she did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Georgia worked diligently and did her best to succeed in her career. Her primary occupation was homemaker. Georgia always sought to be a team player, doing what was necessary in order to get the job done.
Georgia enjoyed her leisure time by taking part in various hobbies. Her favorite pursuits were crochet, embroidery, needlepoint, and sewing. She was content to enjoy her favorite pastimes alone but was also willing to share her interests with others.
Georgia’s faith was important to her and sustained her through her twenty year battle with cancer. She was a member of Broadview Baptist Church.
Geogia fought a courageous battle with multiple myeloma cancer. She is survived by her husband, Keith; children Tommy, Rita, Sharilyn, and Greg; grandchildren, Marty, Quinn, Casey, Justin, Chris, Amy, Daniel, Marissa, Lisa, Tabitha, and Jackson; and her great-grandchildren Miranda, Austin, Ajay, Jope, Angel, Maddison, Miya, Kaindyn, Kutler, Krew, Sarah, Steven, Natalie, Allyson, Kylie, MeKayla, Katelin, and Hayden. Services were held at Broadview Baptist Church in Lubbock, Texas. Georgia was laid to rest in Morton Cemetery in Morton, Texas.
Simply stated, Georgia was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Georgia leaves behind her a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life she touched will always remember Georgia Mae "Polly" Campbell.

Georgia Mae (Polly) Campbell, 78, of Lubbock, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 15, 2013, after a courageous battle with multiple myeloma cancer. Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at Broadview Baptist Church, Lubbock, Texas, with burial to follow in Morton Cemetery, in Morton, Texas. A visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, Lubbock, Texas, from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Tuesday November 19, 2013.
Georgia was born on January 18, 1935, in Weches, Texas, to Richard and Ellen Click. She attended Neely Ward School near Morton, Texas. She married Thomas Floyd Fipps in 1951. He died November 16, 1966. Later marriages to Jack Gilliam of Bledsoe, Texas, and Paul Hettinger of Lubbock, Texas (both deceased). On April 4, 1987, she married Keith Campbell. She was a member of Broadview Baptist Church, Lubbock, Texas.
She will be remembered as an outstanding wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She has a love crochet, embroidery, needlepoint, and sewing. Many of her beautiful creations adorn the homes of family and friends. Each new grandbaby and great-grandbaby received an exquisite hand-made blanket when they were born. She was a woman of great faith, and it was this faith that sustained her throughout her 20 year ordeal with cancer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a baby sister, Dixie, who died at birth.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Keith Campbell, her four children, Tommy Fipps(Debbie) of Floydada, Rita Funk( Terry of Shallowater, Sharilyn Bratton of Odessa, and Greg Gilliam of Dothan, Alabama, 11 grandchildren Marty Fipps, Quinn Fipps, Casey Romero, Justin Fipps, Chris Funk, Amy Funk, Daniel Bratton, Marissa Bratton, Lisa Bratton Tabitha Gilliam, and Jackson Gilliam; 18 great- grandchildren, Miranda Fipps, Austin Fipps, Ajay Fipps, Hope Fipps, Angel Fipps, Maddison Fipps, Miya Fipps, Kaindyn Reese, Kutler Fipps, Krew Fipps, Sarah Romero, Steven Romero, Natalie Romero, Allyson Romero, Kylie Fipps, MeKayla Fipps, Katelin Fipps, and Hayden Harris.
The family wishes to thank the wonderful support from the staff at UMC Cancer Center, Dr. Everado Cobos and his staff, Accolade Hospice Care, and especially to angels, Shelly, Kathy, and Connie.
