Gladys Lewis

Gladys L. Lewis went home to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on May 17, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Carl Lewis in July 2006 and one daughter Candas Lewis in January 1960.

Gladys was GOD fearing, GOD loving, God Worshipping, disciple and servant of GOD. She loved her family with all her heart.

She had the sweetest personality, and desired to serve the Lord at all times in her life. Her beautiful blue eyes, her smile and her personality were an inspiration to others. She enjoyed cooking for the Church, teaching Sunday school, serving God, raising and nurturing her family, singing in the choir, Bible studies, leading people to Christ, and being an encouragement to others. One of her favorite things to do was cook for her family.

She spent her career working in clothing, modeling, and retired from the telephone company after 25 years of service.

Those left to cherish her memory are her two sons; Steve Lewis of Lubbock, and Mike Lewis and his wife Diana of Albuquerque, and two grandsons, Joshua Lewis of Albuquerque and Micah Lewis of California.

We would like to thank the staff at Interim Hospice, SW Cancer, and the private personal aids at her home for their love, dedication, and kindness to meet Gladys ever need.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 20, 2011 at 10:00 am at Resthaven’s Abbey Chapel with burial to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Condolences may be offered at www.resthavenfuneralhome.com
