

Helen “Gammie” Meier, 87, of Lubbock, passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2017. Mrs. Meier was born on October 3, 1929 to the late William Roy and Lorene (Brady) Foster. She married Jack Meier in the summer of 1968, and he preceded her in death in 1997.
“Gammie” was an avid bowler, and was a member of several bowling leagues. She also enjoyed cooking, playing cards, especially canasta. She loved Christmas, and decorating her house with many Christmas trees. “Gammie” also loved the outdoors where she spent time working in her flower garden and fishing. She was a very loving family oriented person.
Mrs. Meier is preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters, and one daughter; Linda Claborn.
Those left to cherish her memory are her three daughters; Rose Graves (Monty), Tricia Dobry both of Lubbock, TX, and Kay Freihage(Rick) of Crowley, TX. She was also blessed with seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
