Horace L Hutton

Funeral service will be held on Monday, March 7, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Resthaven’s Abbey Chapel, burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 6, 2011 from 6-8 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home.

Mr. Hutton was born September 9, 1914 in Runnels County, Texas to Jesse and Iona Hutton. He was a long time member of the Muleshoe Church of Christ serving as an Elder for over 25 years.

Horace moved to southern Bailey County in 1947 to continue his career as a cotton farmer.

He is survived by his four children, Betty Pressley of Lindale, Jerry Hutton of Muleshoe, Terry Hutton of Lubbock, Sharron Putman of Arlington, twelve grandchildren, twenty nine great grandchildren , 2 great-great grandchildren, one brother, Cowan Hutton, two sisters, Mable Lee and Ruby Bush, one sister-in-law Glenda Hutton and a longtime special friend, Bobbie Wilson.

He was preceeded in death by his wife, Irene Hutton and one son Horace L. Hutton, Jr., two brothers, J.P. and Walter Hutton and one sister Imogene Hardin.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to be made to New Mexico Christian’s Children’s Home, 1356 New Mexico 236 Portales, NM 88130.
