Irene Salas

Irene's commitment to her community and her passion for healing led her to pursue a career in nursing. She was a registered nurse working for many different hospitals but more recently Covenant Medical Center. Her dedication and expertise made a significant impact on the lives of countless patients and their families and brought love, compassion, and joy to everyone she met.

She shared a loving and devoted relationship with her family including her partner Tom Foster; beautiful daughter, Alexis von Gilleland and her father Aron Gilleland, her loving mother, Esmeralda Salas, and siblings, Rudy and Eva Salas, Diana and Domingo Sepeda, Esmeralda Salas-Logan and husband Travis, Adam and Rosie Salas.

She was preceded in death by her father, Aurilano Salas; and brothers, Aurilano II, Luis, Danny, David, and Joe Salas.

To honor Irene's life and celebrate her loving spirit, her family will host a gathering of family and friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Saturday, December 9, 2023. Celebration services will be held on Sunday, December 10, 2023, at 2:00 pm at the also at Lake Ridge Chapel with burial following

At the age of 51, Irene, a beloved wife, mother, and sister, as well as a dedicated nurse, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2023, in Lubbock, TX.
