Jacob B. Rivera

Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Thursday, April 21, 2011, in Resthaven Funeral Home’s Abbey Chapel. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Jacob was born on June 18, 1981, in Lubbock, to Vidal Rivera, Jr., and the late Sharon Kosechequetah. Jacob was a very outgoing person and loved his family. He was a cancer survivor since 2007. He loved bowling and building hot rods. Jacob worked at Louie Louie’s Piano Bar as bar manager and bartender. Jacob died doing what he loved, riding his motorcycle, with a very special friend, Shae Reed.

He was preceded in death by his mother and grandparents: Thomas and Wanda Stinebaugh and Vidal Sr. and Guadalupe Rivera.

Those left to cherish his memories include his three daughters: Kaylee, Kirsten, and Catherine Rivera; three brothers: Christopher Rivera, Anthony Rivera, and Johnny Duncan – all of Lubbock; a sister, Kathy Williams and her husband Jeremy Stevens of Lubbock; father, Vidal Rivera, Jr., and his wife Brenda of Lubbock; step-father, Tony Kosechequetah of Lawton; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
