

The family of Jim Gilbert will celebrate his life of 58 years at 3:00 PM on Thursday, June 9th, 2022, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. Jim passed on to his eternal home on May 31, 2022. We invite you to view the live-streamed service on this page and sign his virtual guestbook.On November 24, 1963, James “Jim” Denver was born to Jimmy and Nelda Gilbert in Lubbock, TX. He married Pam Barron of Lubbock, TX on December 11, 1994. Jim was an avid outdoorsman and was a proud member of Elks Lodge 1348 for 27 years. Jim’s greatest joy was the time he spent with his sons whether it was cooking fish at the Elk’s Lodge, working on their trucks, or anything they could do outdoors. Jim loved helping anybody in need and did that often and never expected anything in return. Jim loved music and scoot a boot with Pam. Jim owned and operated “Jim Gilbert’s Auto and Truck Repair” for 24 years.Survivors include his wife, Pam Gilbert; son, Dustin James (Megan) Gilbert; mother, Nelda Gilbert; grandchildren, Kendale Bell and Lane Bell; sister, Cindy (Wayland) Fannin; Mitzi Gilbert (mother of his boys); nieces Shanel (Chad) Keller; Cami (Josh) Lichocki; great-nieces and nephews, Sean Keller, Abigail Keller, Adam Lichocki, and Emma Lichocki; Chelsea Hughes (special member of our family); many sisters-in-law, brother in law and numerous nieces, nephews from Pam’s side of the family; and many friends.He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Gilbert, and son, Trevor Gilbert.
