James “Paw-Paw Ed” Hamil-ton, 96, passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2014 in Lubbock, TX. A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, January 23, 2014 at Resthaven Funeral Home. Graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 24, 2014 in the Mausoleum Chapel of Resthaven Memorial Park with Hospice Chaplain Bruce Cotton officiating. James was born on January 24, 1917 in Seymour, Texas to Samuel and Carolina (Williams) Hamilton. He mar-ried the love of his life Louise Perciful on October 10, 1937 in Frederick, Oklahoma, they were married for 72 years before her passing September 19, 2009. He was a member of Quaker Ave Church of God. He is preceded by his wife Louise Hamilton. Survivors include two sons, Don and wife Margo of Ralls, TX, Larry and wife Coleen of Lubbock; one daughter, Kay and husband Donald Pair of Shallowater, TX; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two step grandchildren; three step great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson. The family wishes to thank Hospice of Lubbock, Promise Land, and all the staff who took care of Dad. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
