Janice Rae Sisson

Janice Rae Sisson, of Lubbock, Texas, passed away on February 29, 2016. She was born in Stratford, Oklahoma, on September 30, 1938 to Jack Lloyd and Etta Lorene Critchfield. Janice married the love of her life, Billy Lloyd Sisson on Valentine’s Day in 1959. She was a young soul who loved her kids, grandchildren and great grands. Her quick wit and sense of fun endeared her to everyone she met.

Janice was preceded in death by her husband Billy and her sister Patricia Steward.

She is survived by a daughter, Sheri Sisson; sons, Stanley Sisson (Judith) and Kevin Sisson (Barbie), all of Lubbock, grandchildren; Heidi Iversen (Eric), Adam Sisson (Corinne), Sara Sisson, Nick Sisson, Abby Jo Sisson, Heather White and Ashley White; great grandchildren, Ansley Iversen, Saria Sisson, Brick Iversen, Oliver Sisson, Kaston Rainwater and Tatum Rainwater; siblings, Brenda Gallagher (Bob), Karen Beasley (Walter), Kenneth Critchfield (Vickie), Sheryl Haggard (Melvin), and Pam Johnston (Roy), numerous beloved nieces and nephews and her special canine friends, Banjo and Sadie.

Visitation with the family will be Friday, March 04, 2016 from 6-8 pm at the funeral home. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, March 05, 2016 at 10:00 am in the Abbey Chapel at Resthaven Funeral Home and Memorial Park.
