Funeral services will be held at 10am on Thursday, July 22, 2010, at Resthaven’s Abbey Chapel. Entombment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 5pm to 7pm on Wednesday at Resthaven Funeral Home.
Jean was born on March 19, 1932, in Rochester, Texas, to the late John Smith and Clara (Anderson) Walton. She married Samuel Hale on December 21, 1951, in Clovis, New Mexico. She graduated from high school from Rochester, and then went on to attend college from Hardin-Simmons and Texas Tech University. She worked most of her life in Floydada at Hale Insurance and Real Estate.
Those left to cherish her memories are her husband of 58 years, Sam Hale; two sons: Dr. Andy Hale of Lubbock and Randy Hale and wife Alison of Fort Worth; three grandchildren: Laura Hale of Amarillo, Jennifer Hale of Lubbock, and JJ Hale of Lubbock; a brother, John Walton of Lubbock; and numerous nieces and nephews.
