Jerry Anthony Decker

Jerry met and married his wife, Henrietta on November 12, 1960 in Pep, Texas.

Jerry farmed around the community of Anton, TX for 57 years. He was dedicated to his family and faith. He was an Honorary Life Member of Knights of Columbus.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Virgil; and granddaughter, Katie Lynn. He is survived by his wife, Henrietta of 57 years; six children: Thomas and wife Sharon of Pflugerville, TX, Jill and husband David Bowyer of Churubusco, IN, Steven Decker of Littlefield, TX, Judy and husband Tim Kwiatkowski of South Bend, IN, Jean Holdridge of Lubbock, TX, June and husband, Craig Hunt of Muleshoe, TX; brothers, Ray and Robert Decker; sisters: Mary Lou Vietenhimer, Martha Nell Schillng, Sister Hilary Decker, Bernadette Rolleston, and Kathy Tilley; 10 grandchildren and 11 great- grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, September 7, 2018 at Resthaven’s Abbey Chapel with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
