Celebration of Life services for Jimmy Davenport, 80, of Lubbock will be held at 10 am, Saturday, September 25, 2010 at Resthaven’s Abbey Chapel with Alan Fruge officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
Jimmy passed from this life Tuesday, September 22, 2010.
Jimmy was born in Plainview, Texas on July 24, 1930 to the late Louise and Samuel Davenport. He was a longtime member of Highland Baptist Church. Jimmy was preceded in death by brother, Sammy Davenport, sister, Francis Davenport and grandson, Bradley Davis.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 61 years, Mary Jo, son, Shane Davenport, daughters, Trudy Williams and Jeanine Davis, three grandchildren, Stephanie Davis, Renae Franklin, Christie Williams and four great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Highland Baptist Church library designated for children's books.
