Clara Josephine Harris, 93, of Lubbock, passed from this life on Saturday, February 19, 2022. Phine, as she came to be known, was born on July 12, 1928 in Lubbock, Texas to parents Thelma and Louis Walker. She had two sisters Frances and Jean, who like her parents, preceded her in death. Additionally, her grandson Jeffrey Patty preceded her in death.
Phine is survived by four daughters Suzanne McLennon of Santa Rosa CA., Diana Chamberlain and husband Gary, of Studio City, Ca., Marilyn Harris and husband Sammy, of Ropesville, Texas and Frances Hardy and husband Chuck, of Bristol, TX. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
She was a nurse most of her life, working at West Texas Hospital and private medical clinics in Lubbock.
Phine’s family were the light of her life and they will miss her sweetness and great sense of humor very much.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, March 5, 10:00am at Resthaven Abbey Chapel with visitation afterwards in the Resthaven reception Room.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons Scott Chamberlain, Sean Hardy, Dane Hardy, Matt Harris, and great-grandsons Ryan Patty and Justin Patty.
