Joyce Ann Matlock Franklin, 81, passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2014 in Lubbock. A visitation will be held from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Monday, July 14, 2014 at Resthaven Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, 2014 in the Abbey Chapel of Resthaven Funeral Home with interment to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park.
Joyce was born November 6, 1932 in Hugo, Oklahoma to Edger Levi and Callie Elizabeth (Darity) Matlock. She helped build the business of 48 years, Custom Brake Electric.
Joyce is preceded in death by her two sons, Joseph Franklin Hamm and Jerry Franklin and her daughter, Debra Joyce Barrett. She is survived by her husband of 49 years Earl Lionell Franklin; and children Vickie Ellison of Lubbock, Frankie Armstrong of Lubbock, Diane Dikiman of Oklahoma, and Paul Franklin.
