

Juanita Lopez Bursiaga, 80, of Lubbock passed away Friday, February 03, 2012. She was born on December 27, 1931, in Alamo to Juan and Alvarita Lopez. She married Celestino C. Bursiaga in Lubbock on October 6, 1956. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, where she served as a Guadalupana. She was preceded in death by her husband, January 3, 2009.
Survivors include four sons, Ruben and wife Pam, Celestino “Sal” Jr. and wife Gayla, Juan and wife Debra and Marshall Dorman, all of Lubbock; three daughters, Belia and husband Guillermo Acosta, and Maria and husband Refugio Vasquez, all of Lubbock, and Maxine Bursiaga of Round Rock; two sisters, Maxine Villegas of New Deal, Carmen Mares of Alamo; two brothers, Frederico Lopez of Lubbock, and Bonifacio Lopez of Alamo; and Virginia Rendon who was like a sister to her; thirteen grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
The family would like to express their appreciation to Accolade Hospice, Clint Conner, Alfonzo Vick, and Dr. Robert Ordonez for the excellent care provided to their mother.
A Rosary will be recited at 7 pm Sunday, February 5, 2012 in Resthaven’s Abbey Chapel. A Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 am on Monday, February 6th, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
