Judy Drake, of Lubbock, age 69 passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, March 10, 2025. Judy Lorraine was born on November 29, 1955 in San Antonio, Texas to Nicholas Theodore “Buddy” and Frances Eloise Hallinan.
She grew up in Lubbock, the 4th of 8 children, and loved everything family. She was a hardworking, single mother of 2 girls when she finally met the man of her dreams. Judy married Alan Drake on May 14, 1986.They shared 39 wonderful years. As a devoted wife, she helped Alan grow a successful business, A&J Crane Service. As a caring mother, she raised Bridgette and Brooke to value their sisterhood. As a homemaker she taught all of us how to love, laugh, and live without reservation.
Judy enjoyed traveling as Alan’s motorcycle companion. Shopping with her sisters was most definitely her favorite pastime, particularly for shoes! She never met a cake she did not like…And still managed to keep her petite figure. Judy also known as Nonnie, adored gabbing with her grandsons, Gunner and Raef. When she wasn’t with family, you could catch her binge watching “Below Deck”. Our “Sweetie, Mom, Nonnie, and Sister,” had a great sense of humor, a strong will, and a heart of gold. She journeyed through life her way and she will forever be missed.
