LaFreida was born March 7, 1948 in Ouitaque, TX to James Woodrow and Dorothy (Hobbs) Hawkins. She is a graduate of Lubbock High School. LaFreida married the love of her life Mike Bowman November 28, 1965 in Juarez, NM.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Mike Bowman, Sr.; her sons, Michael Bowman, Jr. of Lubbock, Jeffrey Bowman (Guadalupe) of Dallas, Bradley Bowman (Lisa) of El Paso; brothers, Wayne Hawkins, Roger Hawkins, Terry Hawkins; sisters, Karen Sanders, Diane Adams; 8 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.
