Laura Louise Blake, 55, of Lubbock, passed away on Friday, April 09, 2010. Visitation will be Sunday April 11, 2010 at the funeral home from 4-6 PM. Funeral services will be held at Resthaven’s Abbey Chapel on Monday, April 12th at 10 AM. Burial will follow at Resthaven.
Laura was born on March 18, 1955 in Lubbock, Texas to Mildred and Woodrow Blake. She loved her family dearly – she was happiest being outside in the sun playing with her grandchildren. She was an amazing woman who will be greatly missed. Laura will always be remembered for her warm smile, free spirit, and loving heart. Laura Blake was preceded in death by her father, Woodrow Blake, and her longtime companion, Donnie Cagle.Survivors include a son, Brian Stevenson of Lubbock; her mother, Mildred Blake; brothers Rudy Blake, David Blake, Dwayne Blake, and Larry Blake; sisters Carol Bates and Donna Mann; and grandchildren Brittany, Brian Zach, Donnie Cagle III, and Reese Cagle.
