Malcom E. Stroud

Services for Malcom (Mack) Eugene Stroud, 78 of Lubbock will be Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Resthaven’s Abbey Chapel at 10am, officiating will be Jim Clayton of Accolade Hospice of Lubbock. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.

Mack passed away Sunday morning at 3:42 a.m. March 26, 2017. He was born August 11, 1938 in Lubbock, Tx. He was raised in Lubbock and Waco. He was working in Lubbock when he met his wife Sara. They married December 27, 1957 in Lubbock. After their wedding he became a Naval Airplane Electrician on the USS Independence. After his service he returned to Lubbock where he became a Lubbock Firefighter and owner of Stroud Painting.

Mack was a devoted husband for almost 51 years and a loving father/grandfather. He loved with his heart and soul. He became a Christian at an early age and his walk grew stronger through the years.

He is survived by 2 sons; Mike and his wife Orlene of Lubbock, Nick and his wife Lori of Lubbock, 1 Daughter, Terri and her husband Scott of Leander, Tx., 6 Grandchildren; Carl, Morgan, Lauren, Kathryn, Luke and Lora; 1 Sister, Bobbie Scott of Denton, Tx, and 1 Brother, Raymond McDaniel of Idaho.

He is preceded in death by his Parents; Malcom Dev Stroud and Robbie McDaniel, his Wife; Sara Stroud, Brother; Billy Stroud and Stepfather; Ray McDaniel. The family would like to thank all of Mack's nursing care from UMC ICU, Accolade Hospice of Lubbock and Bender Terrace.
