Professionally, Marvin served his community in the Lubbock Police Department for 16 years and at Irrigation Machine for the remainder of his career developing lasting friendships. He believed in hard work and never doing things half-way in all aspects of a person's life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin H. Dudley and Margaret Virginia Dudley; and two sisters; Barbara Sue Rowden and Sherry Gail Hernandez.
He is survived by the love of his life of 58 years, Carlla Dudley; they married on September 8, 1962. Together, they had two loving children, Kim Mullins (Scott) and Nick Dudley (Kim); five grandchildren: Kristal Turner (Jason), Brett Mullins (Kristen), Cole Mullins (Samantha), Lyndsi Swenning (Patrick) and Halee Futch (Clay); ten great-grandchildren: Sydney, Olivia, Ireland, Dyllan, Logan, Mazie, Birdie, Duke, Dallas and Stryder; two sisters, Joe Ann Combs and Judy Tischler (Van); and many nieces, nephews and cousins who loved him deeply.
Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at The Message, 5502 Auburn Street, Lubbock, Texas.
Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
