Memorial service will be held at 10 AM, Monday, September 17, 2012 at Resthaven Abbey Chapel Funeral Home with burial to immediately follow at Plainview Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mary married Thomas E. Koonce and they later moved to Oklahoma in 1946. She worked for the U.S. Government at Tinker AFB and retired as administrative assistant to the director of telecommunications. While in Oklahoma City she attended the University of Oklahoma and was an avid OU fan. She enjoyed playing bridge, bowling, dancing and all sports. Mary was a member of MWC First Christian Church where she served as Deaconess for years and other duties in the church. She was also active in civic and social clubs. She enjoyed contract bridge and was active in The Bridge Club Center. She also did lots of volunteer work. She moved back to Lubbock after she retired in 1987.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband along with her siblings.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
