Maureen McCutchin

Maureen McCutchin, 93, of Levelland passed away on Monday, July 28, 2025. A visitation for Maureen will be held Monday, August 4, 2025, from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service in the chapel from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Maureen was born on July 27, 1932, to Lee and Hazel McCormick on the farm of her grandparents, Eugene and Buna Prichard of Big Spring, TX. She attended school in Big Spring, TX. She was married to Billy Massingill for 28 years. During this time, she had 2 children- Claudia Lynn and Mark Duane Massingill, whom she loved dearly. As a young mother, she helped build a business from the ground up. She was hardworking, glamorous, confident, and resilient. In 1980, she married Jack McCutchin, with whom she spent 35 wonderful years traveling, gardening and hosting. She was a beloved mother, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, niece, and aunt. She is preceded in death by her husband Jack McCutchin, her son, Mark Massingill, and her sisters Marilyn and Mildred. Maureen is mourned deeply by daughter, Lynn Massingill; brother Richard McCormick and his wife Linda; sister Judy Boyd and her husband Steve; former daughter-in-law Cindy Eastup; stepchildren Jack McCutchin, Jr., and Jim and Susan McCutchin. She is also greatly missed by her granddaughter, Laurie Adkins and husband Austin; step-grandchildren Brent and Tina McCutchin; Melonie and J Pete Laney; Linsey and David Warshaw; and Zach and Dayna McCutchin. Maureen was beloved by her many great-grandchildren.
