Monty graduated from Monterey High School in 1966 and attended Texas Tech University. He honorably served in the United States Marine Corps from 1967-1971.
Monty was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Kary Walker and Frances Tipton.
He married Rose Mary Graves on January 28, 1966 and is survived by her and their children; son, Bruce Graves; daughter, Shelley Zeigler and husband Rodney; granddaughter, Taylor Zeigler; great-grandson, Gaven Zeigler; sister, Sandy Partain; brother, Bobby Wynne.
Family will receive guests from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, July 28, 2017 at Resthaven Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Monty’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 29, 2017 in the Abbey Chapel at Resthaven Funeral Home.
In memory of Monty memorials may be made the American Cancer Society or Alzheimer’s Association.
