Services for Nina Turner, 70, of Lubbock, will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, April 9, 2011 in Resthaven’s Abbey Chapel. Burial will follow at Resthaven. Mrs. Turner passed away on Wednesday, April 6th.
Nina was born on Feb 2, 1941 in Littlefield, to Tom and Thelma Forrest. She graduated from Monterey High School in 1959. She married Wayne Turner in 1957. She was a buyer for women’s clothes in Dunlaps for 10 years.
She was an avid bowler and was on a City Championship team sponsored by Turner Construction. She enjoyed fishing and camping. She was a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
Survivors include her husband, Wayne; two sons,
Steve and wife Sheree, and Forrest Turner, all of Lubbock; one daughter, Susan D’Ann Turner of Hereford; six grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
