Services for Opal Strader, 91, of Greenville, Texas will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Feb 21, 2011 in Resthaven’s Abbey Chapel with Pastor Danny Lucas officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Opal passed away on Feb 18th in Greenville.
Opal was born on Nov 5, 1919 in Berlin, Oklahoma. She had been a long time Lubbock resident prior to moving to East Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, A.J. Strader, and her twelve siblings.
Survivors include a daughter, Brenda and husband Jerry Thompson on Mineola; a son, Dan and wife Mendi Strader of Whitewright, TX; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
