Our beloved sister Opal Pauline Wheeler received her final wish and went home to be with her Lord and Savior on November 19th, 2018. Pauline was born on March 26, 1936 in Gilmer Texas. She attended school in Cotton Center and Hale Center Texas. She was employed by Southwestern Bell for 34 years and retired in 1994.
Pauline was preceded in death by her parents Sherman and Nettie Wheeler and two sisters – Virginia Holmes and Dolly Howard.
She is survived by two sisters – Betty Retherford of Canon City Colorado, Marie/Darrel Roper of San Angelo. Two brothers, Tommy Wheeler of Lubbock and John/Sherrie Wheeler of Alpharetta, Georgia and several nieces and nephews.
Pauline was a member of the Church of Christ. Pauline was a beautiful person who loved Her Lord, Her Country and Her Family very much. She was the rock of her family and she will be greatly missed.
We will gather together to celebrate her life on Friday, November 23, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Resthaven’s Abbey Chapel. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 12-2pm at Resthaven, just prior to the service on Friday.
