Ralph Weldon Hodges, long-time resident of Lubbock, TX, passed away peacefully on September 19th, surrounded by family. He was a fabricator at Brandon and Clark for nearly 28 years, but retirement didn’t stop him from showing up to work at least a few times a week.
Ralph was loved by so many, because of his big heart and love for fixing the unfixable. He even earned the nickname “Mr. Good Ralph”. He was one-of-a-kind husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. We will love and miss him until we reunite one day.
Ralph is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Lois Marie Hodges; daughter Pam (Donald) Ballou; grandson Josh (Patty) Ballou; granddaughters Keisha (Jonathan) Taylor, and Lacy (Jeff) Johnson; great grandchildren Clay Weldon Taylor and Kai Karim Johnson and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents Julian and Annie Hodges, all of his siblings, and his daughter Karen Marie Hodges.
A visitation for Ralph will be held Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:45 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home. Following the visitation will be a graveside service at 1:00 PM at Resthaven Memorial Park.
Serving as pallbearers are Don Ballou, Josh Ballou, Clay Taylor, Mike Garrett, Joe Cook and Bill Bates. Serving as honorary pallbearers Chase Hartigan and Calvin Hartigan.
