Ralph W. Deatherage

Ralph Deatherage of Lubbock went to be with his Lord on October 18, 2013. The family will receive visitors on Monday, October 21, 2013 from 6-8 P.M at Resthaven Funeral Home. The celebration of life for Ralph Deatherage will be held Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at 1P.M. at Quaker Avenue Church of God with Reverend D.E. Buchanan, Reverend Bob Bohannan, Pastor Rick Oliphint, and son-in-law Pastor Kris Moyer. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.

He was born on April 12, 1930 to Robert and Dora Deatherage in Tecumseh, Oklahoma. Ralph moved to Lubbock in 1949, where he went to work at Texas Roofing Company. He married Virgie Meredith in Lubbock, on May 20, 1950. He owned and operated Deatherage Roofing from 1954 to 2004.

Ralph is proceeded in death by his parents, two brothers, one sister and his granddaughter Meredith Kennedy Moyer.

Those left to Cherish his memory are his wife, Virgie Deatherage, son Roger Deatherage and wife Dorenda, daughter Debbie Pendleton and husband Jimmy, daughter Renee’ Moyer and husband Kris, six grandchildren, Brandon Deatherage, Justin Pendleton, Blayne Deatherage, Shawna Davis, Sergeant Michael Ryan Smith, and Grayson Moyer and 10 great-grandchildren.
