Randal Curtis Sproles

Randal is preceded in death by his mother, father, wife, Ylda Mesa Sproles and daughter, Candace Rose Sproles.

Randal is survived by sister, Rhonda Carter, Roseanne Decker and Brothers Bob Sproles and Richard Sproles, as well as numerous sisters and brother in laws, nieces and nephews and cousins.

Randal was born in Lubbock, Texas and graduated from Coronado High School. He worked for the City of Lubbock as a landscaper, he planted roses in the Arboretum and many many trees in Klapp Park. His love of gardening continued throughout his life. Randal later worked for Lubbock Electric Company for 17 years until he lift to care for his beloved wife. His hobbies included fishing, cooking and learning the history of Lubbock and the South Plains. He was known for his ready smile, wonderful laugh, intelligence, kindness and love. Randal was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

Visitation will held at the Abbey Chapel at Resthaven, Thursday, February 15, 2024 from 5-8 pm with Rosary beginning at 7pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am, Friday, February 16, 2024 at St Mary’s Catholic Church 402 East 6th Spur Texas 79370 with interment to follow at Spur Memorial Park.
