Ray Dean

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at 10:00 at First Baptist Church Ford Chapel, with burial to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 from 6 to 8 PM at Resthhaven Funeral Home.

Ray was born on September 5, 1935 in Penelope, Texas to Ike and Ethyl Dean. He moved to Milford, Texas in 1943 and Graduated from Milford High School in 1955. He then joined the U.S. Navy and served during peace time at Moffett Field, California where he was an Electriction Mate 3rd Class. He was Baptist, a miniature aircraft hobbyist and member of the Model Aircraft Society.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years; Patsy Dean of Lubbock, three children; Pam Richardson and her husband Fred of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Mike Dean and his wife Karen of Lubbock and Richard Dean and his wife Dreama of Wolfforth, four grandchildren; Paul Zintgraff of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Chris Dean of Lubbock, Tori Dean of Wolfforth and Austin Dean of Lubbock, two great grandchildren, and one sister; Fay Roberts of Katy, Texas

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Johnny and Buddy Dean.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the Joe Arrington Cancer center, Dr. Jose Figueroa, Nurses; Leah and Tonya and all of the staff in the Chemotherapy Department for the care and Love that was given to Ray during this difficult time.
