She was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry Gullett and John Parker, and is survived by an older brother Garry of Texas, and two younger sisters, Ramona and Lisa both of New Mexico.
Momma was a very loving, caring mom that supported us in every way. She was dedicated to her friends, students, and especially her family. Her family was her first passion and she loved all her Grand babies more than life itself. Mother may be gone but her incredible spirit lives on in her son, Terry Rasco and wife Michelle of Shallowater, and Daughter Donna Nelson of Lubbock. She has 4 grand children and 4 great-grand children.
Momma was an incredible Porcelain Artist for 40 years, which was her second passion. She was a member of The International Porcelain Artist, a member of the South Plains Porcelain Art Club, and the Texas Teacher’s Porcelain Art Organization. She was the past President of The Texas State Federation of Porcelain Artist and was the current president of the World
Organization of China Painters of New Mexico and Texas. She was the Outstanding Artist of 2012 and was just recently inducted into the Texas Porcelain Artist Hall of Fame in April of 2012.
She was a devoted member and Deacon of the First Presbyterian Church of Lubbock and momma loved baking cakes for every occasion possible. She never met a stranger and was constantly helping someone. She had a passion for life that was very evident and it was spread to her entire family. A celebration of life service is scheduled for momma on Wednesday, May, 23rd, 2012 at 10:30am at The First Presbyterian Church of Lubbock at 3814-130th.
In Lieu of flowers, donations should be sent to The First Presbyterian Church.
