

As a child, Bob loved to play football and also enjoyed hunting and fishing with his father. He saw South Central Colorado for the first time in 1946, and it quickly became the vacation destination almost every summer until "Covid". He carried on these hunting and fishing traditions into adulthood and also had an impressive collection of sporting rifles. After retirement he continued to focus on gun shows and the restoration of sporting guns.
By the age of 15, Bob was a line mechanic for his dad at Hartman Auto Service where they built and set irrigation motors for a 300 mile radius of Lubbock. After graduation from Texas Tech with a Bachelor of Horticulture, Entomology, and Park Administration, he was an urban planner for numerous Council of Governments in Texas, Arkansas and Colorado. In 1973, he became Director of Planning for Irving, TX. He left government work in 1981 and started Hartman Haus Associates where he sold firearms, fine jewelry and precious stones. Bob finally retired in 2003.
He is proceeded in death by his parents and sister LaJuanda Hartman Faubion.
He married Judy Ferguson Hartman on May 16, 1969. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, son Doug Hartman and wife Michele of Overland Park, KS and two grandsons, Hunter and Chase.
