

Robert Abraham Ortega, a cherished son, husband, father, brother and grandfather, passed away on October 15, 2025, at the age of 76. Born on February 12, 1949, in Ropesville, Texas, he was the son of Martin Ortega (deceased) and Aurora Ortega. Robert graduated from Frenship High School.
Robert proudly served in the United States Air Force, embodying bravery and dedication during his time of service, forever well-regarded as a man watched over by angels.
Robert enjoyed a successful career in aircraft maintenance, applying his skills and passion in the aviation industry. He was known for his meticulous attention to detail and unwavering commitment to excellence. Robert received several medals and awards during his military career. Robert's military career allowed him to travel the world and explore many countries. During his tour of duty in the Vietnam War, he was station in Thailand, where he met and married the love of his life, Chian Suwan. They were happily married for 54 years,
Robert had a lifelong love of music and found peace and excitement in the outdoors, especially while fishing. He was an avid sports fan, often cheering on his favorite football teams and following mixed martial arts with enthusiasm. In recent years, he embraced the digital age with curiosity and humor, spending countless hours exploring content and discovering new interests on YouTube.
Robert is survived by his loving wife, Chian Ortega; his beloved daughter, Barbara Taylor and loving son-in-law, Anzio Taylor; his loving son, Abraham Ortega and his treasured granddaughter, Chyanne Taylor. Along with his mother, Aurora Ortega, and a host of brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and friends. He leaves a legacy of love, strength, and family values that will live on in the hearts of all that knew him.
Robert was preceded in death by his father, Martin Ortega and brothers, Tommy Ortega, Roy Ortega, Martin Ortega and George Ortega.
