

Ronald Landon Lindsay, 83, of Lubbock, Texas passed away on October 17, 2017 peacefully in his sleep. Funeral services will be Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 10 am at Greenlawn Church of Christ with interment to follow. Pulpit minister, Dale Mannon of Greenlawn Church of Christ will be officiating. Services are under the personal direction of the professionals at Resthaven Funeral Home.
Ronald was born in Ft. Worth, Texas on September 19, 1934. Upon graduating from Paschal High School he attended the University of Texas in Austin where he earned a Bachelor’s of Engineering degree. Ronald was married to Billie H. Lindsay on June 2, 1956; they were married 61 years.
Ronald worked for Robert E. McKee General Contractor, Inc. based in Dallas, Texas. After working on projects in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, he transferred to New Orleans, Louisiana where he was Project Engineer for the Tulane University School of Medicine. Ronald returned to Dallas at the completion of that project and continued as Construction Manager in Dallas/Ft. Worth before transferring to the Los Angeles office in 1971 where he was appointed Vice President of Robert E. McKee, Inc. Ronald served as an Elder at the Glendale Church of Christ in Los Angeles for 30 years. Ronald later worked as Director of Construction Management at the University of California Los Angeles before retiring in 2000. Ronald then moved with his wife to Lubbock to be closer to their children and grand-children.
Ronald is survived by wife Billie Lindsay; sister Dorothy Allred; children Margaret Dicus and her husband Michael, Edwin Lindsay and his wife Carri, Cheryl Parker, Marie Kidder and her husband Pierce, and Lance Lindsay; 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, and nephews.
Ronald is preceded in death by his parents, Edwin Lancelot Lindsay and Violet Illingworth Lindsay; his sister Margaret Rosemergy; and his brothers, Edwin and Jack Lindsay.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to Greenlawn Church of Christ, 5701 19th St., Lubbock, TX, 79407.
